Graham’s Dairies - Scotland's largest independent family-owned dairy operation - will supply milk to 16 of Asda’s stores around Glasgow as part of the chain’s “Scotland’s Best local sourcing initiative”.

Carrying the Graham’s Dairies label, the milk will be on sale alongside Asda’s own-label milk to cater for regional variation and taste at the same time as supporting local business.

Asda’s retail MD for Scotland, Tony Page, said: “Graham’s Dairies is a perfect illustration of what we hope to achieve through the “Best of Scotland” initiative - supporting local producers while providing customers with high quality, truly locally sourced products.”

Having identified a £160m sales opportunity for local products, Asda has been actively sourcing local suppliers to provide a variety of local produce.

In addition to Scotland, the local sourcing initiative is already underway in Cornwall and will be rolled out nationally by Asda over the coming year.
