The novel design, supplied by import and soft fruit marketing company AMS, which also supplies standard strawberries to Asda, helped all 50 stores sell out quickly last year.
The 300g packs of fresh Spanish-grown Sabrosa strawberries will be given an end-of-aisle display positioning. They go on sale on February 11.
AMS spokesman Jayson Clark said: “This demonstrates packaging innovation and a unique selling proposition for Asda at a key trading moment.”
