Asda this week denied rumours it plans any form of pay by sale' system in the UK, even at its Patchway flagship store. Practiced in the US by Asda's parent Wal-Mart, pay by sale' systems clear payment to suppliers for goods once they have been through the checkout. Asda said: "We are developing a number of new systems to help suppliers grow their business. "They will be able to drill down to store level data to understand what is selling where." {{NEWS }}
