Queue the music: confused shoppers wait at the Lidl checkout

If you think the dawn of January means party season is over, get thee to Scotland, where Lidl is still going full throttle.

It has persuaded popster KT Tunstall to play a series of gigs (sadly not in stores) in Aberdeen, Ayr, Strathpeffer and Edinburgh. She’ll then open Lidl’s 100th Scottish store (in an as-yet undisclosed location).
