If an emoji exists for the product you make, it’s basically free advertising to millennials, who will doubtless co-opt it as some kind of sexual euphemism. Hooray!
Bad news for the egg world, then. Eagle-eyed Google users will notice that the egg has been removed from the emoji for salad. The bowl now contains just green leaves and red tomatoes.
The tech giant has explained that the move is designed to make vegans feel included. But surely a better reason is that only maniacs put egg in salad?
