Bubble tea! Yum. Nothing beats an, er, cold black tea filled with tapioca balls, right? Instagram has a lot to answer for.
Still, the drink is a mega hit in Japan, which is so enamoured of its bubbly charms that it will be home to a special pop-up theme park. Tokyo Tapioca Land will take over a shopping area at Harajuku Station from 13 August to 16 September.
There are ‘tapioca stores’, as you’d expect. ‘Celebrity store managers’ and ‘more than 10 photo booths’ (!) are also promised.
Fingers crossed for a ball pool.
