Canned ready meal producer Grant’s Foods has launched a Mini Roasts range aimed at younger shoppers.

The line-up includes BBQ Pulled Beef, BBQ Pulled Pork, Roast Beef in a Rich Gravy, and Roast Gammon in a Sweet Sticky Glaze (rsp: £2.99/392g can).

The lines are made with natural ingredients and hand-cut pieces of meat with no additives, flavourings or preservatives, said the brand. Expected to be on shelf in all major supermarkets by the end of summer, the NPD was designed to appeal to younger consumers.

“The range is exciting and original,” said Nicola Young, Grant’s Foods marketing executive. “Each product is packed full of flavour and made with high-quality ingredients, going against the perception that canned goods are boring, old-fashioned and unhealthy.

“It is a range that will really stand out on the shelves,” she added.
