Italian tomato products company Cirio is adding three products to its UK range in response to consumer demand for environmentally friendly packaging and smaller formats.
Its chopped tomatoes in 390g Tetra Pak cartons were priced in line with the company's tinned offer at 79p, but were lighter than tins and fully recyclable, said the company.
Single-serve pots of tomato purée also join the range. Sold in packs of four 70g aluminium pots, rsp £1.69, the tins are aimed at the growing number of smaller households.
