Marks and Spencer marketing director Alice Avis has left the company following the appointment of Steven Sharp to head up marketing.
Sharp was a colleague of M& S’s newly-appointed chief executive Stuart Rose when they were on the board at Booker. Rose recruited Sharp soon after joining M& S.
Rose had hoped Sharp would be able to work alongside Avis on marketing, but she made the decision to leave this week.
Her future career plans are unknown. She is a non-executive director of The Sanctuary Spar Group. She joined M&S from Flutter.com,
