Bill Shannon, Co-operative Group head of corporate affairs and deputy chairman of the British Retail Consortium, has announced he will retire in November. Financial controller David Jackson will also retire before the end of the financial year. Shannon, who has worked for the Co-op for 37 years, said: "My single most important priority before leaving is the reintroduction of the Co-op Dividend. I will not be going until that project is set to go." Shannon plans to return to university to study for an MA in history. {{NEWS }}
