Tesco has extended its recommended cash offer for Dobbies Garden Centre.
The first closing date of the 1,500p a share offer, which Tesco tabled last month, was yesterday but Tesco said this would now be extended to 8 August.
Tesco could face competition from Sir Tom Hunter, the owner of Wyevale Garden Centres, who is reportedly considering making a counter offer for the chain.
