This time a year ago the winner was another Sainsbury's store - this time in Macclesfield.
The store not only provided everything on our shopper's list but provided great levels of customer service.
Back then store manager Andy Ireland said excellent morale among his hard-working team was imperative to the success of the store. One year on and Ireland is still holding the reins.
Deputy manager John Sandwell said the store had enjoyed success in 2006 and was aiming for the same this year as staff had continued to work hard.
"We try to make the store a friendly place to work and feedback from customers said we're better than our rivals," he said.
