Findus has withdrawn certain batches of its gourmet salmon skewers due to the presence of crystal violet, an illegal veterinary medicine.
The chemical dye is not allowed in food in the European Union.
The affected product is Findus Gourmet 6 Salmon Skewers 360g, lot codes 6110LB BBE 07/2007, 6111LB BBE 07/2007, 6124LB BBE 08/2007, 6145LB BBE 08/2007 and 6146LB BBE 08/2007.
