Prices for raisins and sultanas continue to climb in the wake of surging prices for dried grapes from the US. Turkish stock has seen price rises driven by declining production in the US limiting supply.

Cashew prices fell slightly in December but remain close to an all-time high due to strong global demand and limited supplies as inclement weather in Vietnam and West Africa affected growing conditions.

Hazelnut prices have fallen by almost a quarter on this time last year, influenced by good supplies from Turkey. The falling value of the Turkish lira has also contributed.

Strong peanut crops in the US and India have weighed down on prices. Dampened demand in China has also contributed to the drop in price.

Pepper prices continue to fall on the back of rising global pepper supplies. Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil and Cambodia have increased growing areas, while India reported a bumper crop in 2017.
