New varieties Airfreighted Israeli Perlette grape has arrived on the UK market earlier than anticipated this season, coinciding with the news that total UK imports will be increased. Rani Friedlander, UK general manager for Agrexco, expects the final programmed figure will be some 5,700t out of a total of 8,000 tonnes. Three new early varieties will be introduced.
