When was the first time you got drunk and what did you drink? At a schoolfriend's party when I was 16. I started on Bacardi, but progressed to whatever was available towards the end of the night. I still can't look a Bacardi or dry Martini in the eye!
What was the first music single you bought? Don't Try to Stop It by Roman Holiday. An 80s classic that has never got the acclaim it deserved.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? An airline pilot for the travel, big salary and pick of the air hostesses.
What's your favourite book and why? Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A drug-fuelled road trip from LA to Vegas followed by a hilarious time in the city. Proof of what taking life to excess could do to you.
What's your favourite movie and why? Where Eagles Dare. Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood in a great war movie - plus the good guys win.
What was your worst holiday and why? Devon when I was seven. I spent most of the time puking after eating too many Mr Kipling apple pies.

Do you have any phobias? No, though I do have a recurring dream where I arrive at work in a pair of slippers.
