Nisa is predicting that its new tobacco distribution service will hit £100m turnover in its first year.
Tobacco was added to current distribution systems in June as the final link in Nisa's plans to streamline its ordering system in a "one-stop shop" for retail members.
Retailers can now place an order across categories and receive total requirements in one delivery so they don't need to top up elsewhere.
Nisaway trading director Steve Collins said incremental sales had gone up, and sales had achieved forecasts from the outset.
He added: "By supplying our members' total commodity requirements, we've negated the need to top up elsewhere. The launch of this new service has, as expected, proved to be a double bonus."
Richard Tipper, operations director of Nisa member Conveco, said: "From an operation point of view, the convenience of buying all our requirements from one source is ideal and our margins have also improved since the changeover."
