Dash Water has added a cherry flavour to its lineup of fruit-infused sparkling waters.
Dash Cherry (rsp: £1.30/330ml) offered a “natural sweet-tart taste of ripe cherries” with zero sugar, sweeteners or calories, according to the brand.
Using “wonderfully wonky” cherries grown in Herefordshire, the new addition stayed true to Dash’s mission of celebrating perfectly imperfect fruit, it said.
The new flavour innovation was designed based on consumer poll results, said Dash, in which cherry topped the leaderboard.
“Cherry is one of those flavours that people just can’t get enough of. We knew it was time to give them something they’d be head over stems for,” said Jack Scott, co-founder of Dash Water.
“It’s one of the bestselling flavours in the US seltzer market, so we’re excited to bring this bold, juicy trend to the UK. With its perfectly balanced sweet-tart taste, this all-natural flavour is sure to be the cherry on top of our range.”
“At Dash we’re committed to empowering people to make better choices, and Dash Cherry is yet another step forward in that mission. With every flavour we launch, we’re showing that you can have great taste without compromising your health.”
The new flavour is available to order from the brand’s website before rolling out into speciality wholesalers from 26 May.
The rollout comes after Dash launched its ‘Canspiracy’ campaign last month, with the aim of stirring up the conversation about the “not-so-sweet truth” of artificial sweeteners.
