Nespresso St James Quarter

Nespresso has opened a new immersive coffee boutique in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter.

The 109 sq m experiential retail concept, which opened yesterday (31 July), will feature a ’Coffee as an Art’ bar, where visitors can sample new flavours including the brand’s new summer collection.

The site, which is a continuation of the coffee giant’s new boutique concept, will also feature a customisation area to personalise select products, hold recipe masterclasses hosted by the Nespresso team, and will showcase Nespresso’s full range of machines and accessories.

The Edinburgh launch follows a recent study for Nespresso that analysed average monthly searches for different coffee types across UK cities. It found that the nation’s top coffee-curious destinations were Bath with 3,451 searches per 100,000 people, and Edinburgh with 3,051 searches.

“With Edinburgh ranking as the second most passionate coffee city in the UK, and first in Scotland, opening our boutique here feels like a natural step,” said Nespresso UK&I CEO Anna Lundstrom.

“At Nespresso, we aim to create boutique spaces that bring to life our commitment to innovation, memorable coffee experiences, and the craft of coffee. The new St James Quarter boutique is the perfect place to bring these values to life.”

It follows the launch of Nespresso UK's initial venture into the on-the-go coffee market in March, with the launch of the first The Nespresso Bar.

Located close to Liverpool Street station in central London, The Nespresso Bar offers transient consumers hot and cold coffee, including latte, cappuccino and americano.
