Unilever UK Foods is likely to continue to court controversy over its Pot Noodle brand with a risqué TV advertising campaign starting on Monday.
This time the company is blowing its own trumpet about the pot snack with its ‘The Horn’ campaign. The ads show how the craving for a Pot Noodle manifests itself into the surreal form of a large brass horn which appears in the craver’s pocket.
In January, the Advertising Standards Authority upheld complaints over a Pot Noodle ad showing couples seductively reading the instructions on the side of the pot, accompanied by straplines such as ‘the filthy Fraulein of all snacks’.
