Woolworths is to bolster its food offering with the launch of a new range of branded sandwiches from television chef Brian Turner.
The company is bullish about the prospects of its new celebrity-endorsed sandwiches, which will replace its former range with Food Partners after its agreement came to an end on July 8.
David Mackness, café concessions manager at Woolworths, said: “The Brian Turner sandwich range is currently being trialled in 33 Woolworths stores.
“We are constantly looking at new and exciting ranges to offer and we also constantly monitor our customer feedback.”
The sandwiches will be delivered to Woolworths six days a week by Kerry Foods Direct to Store.
Paul Stubbins, sales and marketing director for KFDTS, said: “Branded products are crucial in the convenience marketplace.
“We focus on delivering top quality brands daily and we see this contract to supply Woolworths as an important endorsement from a major high street retailer.”
