Tesco says sales of its organic British pork sausages have risen by 70% - thanks to Brits’ love of the barbeque and improved meat availability.
The multiple claimed it was now selling 70,000 organic pork sausages every week. Meanwhile, sales of organic chicken and beef are both up 30% cent this summer.
Giles Gravatt, Tesco business planning manager for beef, said: “We have found that, as people take to the outdoors, they start to become more conscious of the environment and their own health. As such they are choosing food they know they can trust.”
