Menzies Distribution has appointed Mark Cassie interim managing director.
Cassie, currently distribution operations director, replaces Forsyth Black, who has been appointed managing director of Menzies Aviation and promoted to the main John Menzies board.
The changes have been triggered by the resignation of John Menzies chief executive Jeremy Stafford “for personal reasons”.
Cassie joined the Menzies Group 32 years ago and undertook several leadership roles, before moving into the job of operations director four years ago.
“I am delighted to welcome Forsyth to the board with his extensive and relevant experience which we are confident will drive forward the implementation of our existing aviation strategy,” said John Menzies chairman Iain Napier.
“I also look forward to working closely with Mark Cassie as he continues to develop our distribution business into the e-commerce fulfilment market.”
