Sainsbury’s customer service and colleague director Gwyn Burr has been appointed as a nonexecutive director for Wembley Stadium.
Burr has worked at Sainsbury’s since 2004 and is responsible for human resources, customer service, corporate responsibility, corporate communications and sponsorship schemes.
Her appointment comes as Wembley Stadium prepares to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its reopening next month. It will also hold the UEFA Champions League Final in May 2013.
“I look forward to working with Gwyn to create even more memories within the best stadium in the world,” said Wembley Stadium chairman Melvin Benn.
