What was your first-ever job? I was a tour guide at Willows Farm Village in Hertfordshire. It involved touring children around a farm and showing them how to make animal noises so they could annoy their teachers on the coach on the way home.

What’s been your worst job interview? I went through a 13-stage interview process for a corporate role a few years back and only realised during the 12th round that I actually wanted to focus full time on Joe & Seph’s.

What was the first music single you bought? Michael Jackson - Bad.

How do you describe your job to your mates? A ‘Popcorneur’. It’s an amazing job, where I get to do everything from selling to taste-testing the delicious all-natural popcorn handmade by our amazing chefs.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job? I love walking into a store, seeing a display of our popcorn and the staff telling me how much customers love the product. Also, winning awards - we’re proud to have won 11 Gold Great Taste Awards, among others.

What’s the least rewarding part? All the form filling, from supplier set-up documents to all the health & safety stuff.

What’s your motto in life? Everything happens for a reason.

What’s your nickname? My dad Joseph, who Joe & Seph’s is named after, is the slightly eccentric creator of our popcorn flavours so has been nicknamed Willy Wonka as a result. Unfortunately that has led to my nickname becoming Oompa-Loompa.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? A Joe & Seph’s-branded Aston Martin Vanquish.

What’s your favourite movie and why? Forrest Gump - I’m a massive Tom Hanks fan and there were so many amazing quotes in there.

Any phobias? I’m not great with small insects… I know it’s pathetic.

Which celebrity would you like on your staff? Gregg Wallace - we know he loves our gourmet popcorn and is one of the most passionate foodies out there. He would make a pretty good salesperson.

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? It would be great to have more face-to-face time with the buyers through ‘meet the buyer’ type events.
