What was your first-ever job? I drove an ice cream van in the summer holidays to earn some extra cash. It was a ‘soft scoop’ as the Mr Whippy vans were reserved for the elite drivers.

What was your worst job interview? I was once interviewed by someone I had previously rejected for a role. You can imagine how well that went.

What was the first music single you bought? Message in a Bottle by The Police when I was about eight.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job? I love to see Firefly being listed in new stores, as this means more consumers are discovering a better soft drink.

What’s the least rewarding part? Sitting in traffic. Imagine how much more productive we’d be if meetings were held remotely.

What is your motto in life? You can’t eat an elephant in one sitting.

What’s your nickname? Dog. Don’t ask

Have you got any phobias? I struggle to swallow anything with an inner seed; the centre of a tomato gives me the willies.

If you were allowed a dream perk what would it be? A five-minute shoulder and neck rub as I shut down my computer at the end of the day.

What’s your favourite movie and why? Memento. It’s such an original story and the director, Christopher Nolan, brings it to life really well. The lead character is played by a chap who used to be in Neighbours. Don’t be put off it’s a future classic

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? I won’t go into details but it involved a posh restaurant, a dodgy stomach and an impromptu vocal exclamation.

Which celebrity would you pick to join your staff? Bradley Cooper. We have more girls than guys in our office and I’m told he would ensure high levels of morale.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? Sometimes smaller brands can struggle to get their voice heard as the big boys become more risk-averse. It’s a shame when you see multinational brands limiting the consumer’s choice. Today’s start-up is tomorrow’s star.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? A case of Firefly of course! Oh, and Radio 4 as it would be like having an old friend around for a chat.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? Any kind of pack animal. I enjoy working as part of a team.
