What's your favourite restaurant and what do you like about it? Finos in Charlotte Street, London. The tapas is informal and the foie gras is the best I've had in the UK. It's run by the sons of the owner of Hambleton Hall in Rutland.

Do you prefer healthy food or junk food? There's a role for both, but you can't beat natural - as close to what mother nature intended - such as New Covent Garden Soup.

What's your favourite tipple? Adams Broadside ale - a Suffolk masterpiece.

What would you rescue from your house if it was burning down?

Assuming my nearest and dearest are already out - as much of my art as I can carry.

What's your fantasy car... and what do you actually drive?

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, but I make do with a shrunken version - an Audi TT.

What gadgets do you carry around with you? A Palm Treo 650 smart phone. It's well made and still leaves the rest behind.

What would you like most for Christmas? The new Nintendo Wii but I'll get it for my son and watch him beat me.

What are your pet hates?

Tomatoes and a lovely black Labradoodle that keeps me fit and grounded.

What's the best holiday you've ever had?

Swimming with sharks in the South China Sea with my family, off the east coast of Malaysia.
