Former Brakes boss Stefan Barden has resurfaced as CEO of online sports retailer Wiggle.
Barden left Brakes in January 2012 following a management restructure that saw his CEO role axed. He was in the role for just a year. Prior to Brakes, he was at the helm of Northern Foods for four years.
He is not the only former grocery exec at Wiggle. Former Asda CEO Andy Bond is chairman.
Bond said: “Stefan’s international experience and leadership of large-scale businesses will be especially relevant during this next phase of our geographic expansion as the business invests in the build-out of its operations as well as in its infrastructure and customer experience.”
