Prawn cocktails might have been the must-have starter on every self-respecting 70s dinner party menu, but even the most ardent lover of shellfish cuisine would baulk at this world record attempt by the Shellfish Association of Great Britain. With no less than 50kg of prawns and some 10 litres of Marie Rose sauce, the concoction was created to publicise research that prawns do not increase LDL cholesterol levels.
