In November 2018, Andrew Thornton launched the now Grocer Gold award-winning plastic free zones in his Budgens store in Belsize Park. In this video, Thornton talks about the ”shift in consciousness” that’s happening in the industry regarding the climate crisis, our ”broken” recycling system and the surge in sales the store has experienced since he introduced the initiative.
