The developers of a new app for independents claim it could consign loyalty stamps to history.

Loyalli, free to customers and retailers, allows retailers to specify their own unique offers. There is no need for new technology - Loyalli supplies printoutS of QR codes that customers can scan with mobile phones.

The app is already in use in over 50 restaurants, coffee shops and delis. “It provides cost-effective, easy marketing and the ability to analyse trends,” said developer Sebastian Borggrewe.

Karen Mercer, owner of My Coffee Stop in Enfield, added: “Loyalli is much quicker than stamp cards, which speeds up the queue. It has also saved us money on printing costs.”
