The Grocer speaks to sports experts about new ways to sell the white stuff - and commissions its own bottle designs

Inspired by this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games, The Grocer decided to take a fresh look at milk’s appeal to sportspeople.

We challenged design consultants Dragon Rouge to come up with packaging designs that would make milk more appealing to athletes and sports fans alike.

They presented us with five bottle designs including insulating ridges, thermo-chromatic inks and easy-drink caps.

Personal trainer Freddie Osei told us: “A main buying consideration is how cool or sexy the drink looks when training. You must keep up the cool look at all times, even when sweating!”

We hope you agree these fit the bill.

Find out what other athletes on our panel thought of the designs - and more about milk as a sports drink - in The Dairymen.
