Kalms joins Acorn

Lord Kalms, former head of the high street electrical retailer Dixons, now known as DSG International, has joined European soft drinks company Acorn Brands as chairman. The company currently has soft drinks brand Oja listed in Asda and French retailer Carrefour.

RHM non-exec

RHM has appointed Brian Buchan as a non-executive director. Buchan, who takes up his role on 1 July, was CEO of SSL International between 2001 and 2004. He is also a non-executive director of Richmond Foods.

Bibby's IT man

Bibby Distribution has appointed Robert Lee as IT director. Lee has held a number of senior positions within the logistics industry, including head of business IT solutions for ACR and business systems director for Tibbet & Britten. In his new role he will develop a best-in-class toolkit for supply chain management delivery and strengthen IT infrastructure.

A new part

Car parts and accessories supplier Unipart Automotive has appointed David Ware as retail proposition leader. He will lead the company's bid to expand its presence in supermarkets and forecourt stores. Ware joins Unipart Automotive from John Dickinson Stationery, where he held the position of retail sales director.

PwC for Hudson

Former Iceland trading director Mark Hudson has been appointed UK retail and consumer sector leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hudson joined PwC as a partner in 2001 and has also worked as commercial director for Welcome Break. He said: "This is an exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to leading PwC in its work with clients both in the UK and as they go overseas."
