Armed forces retailer Naafi has announced the appointment of Christian Rose as its commercial director to handle UK and international buying and distribution.
Rose aims to continue the development of the organisation's commercial department, which has been reshaped into a team of integrated experts'. Each member now has responsibility for a particular buying category and a specific country.
Rose will be also be overseeing the development of a number of the supply deals Naafi has with outside retailers.
In May, it signed up Tesco to deliver goods to stores in Germany. It also works with Spar which supplies to more than 200 joint-branded UK stores.
Rose has a strong background in retailing having worked in the marketing and commercial departments for Safeway and Somerfield. He was previously commercial and marketing director at business training provider Intellexis.
