A company director has received a prison sentence after being prosecuted for fraudulently selling conventional foods as organic.
Northamptonshire supplier One Foods Limited sold products falsely described as organic to consumers and businesses across the UK over a five-year period.
Director Neil Stansfield was given a 27-month prison sentence after being prosecuted by Northamptonshire County Council for the £500,000 fraud.
"This is a perfect example of the FSA working closely with local authorities," said FSA enforcement head Sarah Appleby.
