Budgens has recruited Tanya Trood as senior buyer for health and beauty products, newspapers and magazines.

Trood replaces David Harland, who has left the company to join Moss Chemists. She joins from Wilkinson Sword where she was channel marketing controller across multiple and impulse sectors for 18 months. Before that she spent 10 years at Sainsbury and Tesco in senior buying roles covering several categories.

She reports to Barry Williams, senior controller for ambient ranges, who said: “Tanya’s brief is to create stronger credibility for our health and beauty ranges and build a stronger promotional programme to add value for our customers.”
