Wensleydale Creamery has begun supplying own-label cheeses to Waitrose.
Under the deal, which adds £1m to Wensleydale's turnover, the company is supplying pre-packed cheese to Waitrose nationwide. The range includes two Yorkshire Wensleydale cheeses, one with Ocean Spray Cranberries and one with Australian Buderim Ginger, as well as a White Stilton with Turkish Apricots, a Belton Double Gloucester with Onion and Chives and a West Country Naturally Oak Smoked Cheddar.
The contract win follows the installation of new equipment at its plant.
