Kerrygold is celebrating a milestone in its history - it is 50 years to the day since the butter brand made its debut on UK shelves. The Irish butter brand launched in the UK on 6 October 1962 in the gold foil in which it is still packaged. “We are proud that, 50 years on, Kerrygold is still owned and loved by Irish dairy farmers,” said brand marketing controller Alison Palmer.

  • Dear Sirs please excuse me if I am wrong, but I think you will find that kerrygold butter when launched in the UK was in PARCHMENT wrapping. Foil was introduced 1970 or 1971. Going from memory
