Florette is expanding into the smoothie market with the launch of two new salad mixes for blenders.

Superfood mix and Energy Boost mix are on sale now in Ocado. The Superfood mix contains spinach, beetroot, carrot, ruby chard, a sachet of sunflower, pumpkin and hemp seeds, and dried blueberries (rsp: £1.50/120g).

Energy Boost features beetroot, spinach, baby kale, ruby chard, a sachet of sunflower and flax seeds, and dried cranberries (rsp: £1.50/105g). The brand recommends consumers then add fresh fruit and juice, and blend.

“Consumer research shows shoppers are now more health conscious than ever, but making healthy choices can be particularly difficult to fit into a busy lifestyle,” said Florette brand manager Rebecca Walker. “Our expansion into the smoothie market presents the opportunity to reach a new audience, who may not have tried our products before, as well as offering exciting new options for existing customers.”

“Smoothies aren’t new, but for consumers with a hectic lifestyle, thinking about what ingredients to buy can be a hassle. Our insight found that consumers are looking for tasty options that are fresh, convenient and nutritious - and our smoothie mix range is just that.”
