Bacardi is launching a premix Mojito to cash in on the current surge in popularity of the rum-based cocktail in Britain.

Mojito Classic (rsp: £13.99 for 75cl) is made with rum, mint and lime and has an abv of 14.9%. The RTD would capitalise on two key trends: cocktail consumption in the home and enthusiasm for the trendy Mojito among UK consumers, said Nik Krys, Bacardi marketing manager. Mojito Classic will be rolled out to retailers from later this month, and its launch will be supported by a £500,000 spend.
