Happy Egg Co spreads into sandwich filler
Free-range egg supplier The Happy Egg Co is to roll out a range of egg-based sandwich fillers.
Tesco will stock the producer’s Egg Mayo and Egg & Bacon fillers from the end of this month. The launch comes six months after the supplier first moved beyond the whole egg market with its quiches and Scotch eggs.
“We are looking at entering more categories that traditionally haven’t included free-range products, as we feel we could add value,” said head of brands Rob Newell.
