Curry king Lord Gulam Noon has launched a range of frozen halal ready meals.

The Royal Halal meals can be microwaved or oven-cooked and comprise Saag chicken with Baghara Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala with Baghara Rice, Kadhai Chicken with Baghara Rice and Butter Chicken with Baghara Rice.

They will initially launch on promotion priced at £1.99 but are expected to retail at between £2.29 and £2.49.

Noon’s company Bombay Halwa is also producing a range of accompaniments under the Royal brand.

The products launched into the cash & carry channel and the company’s own Royal food stores last week.
