Independent tea brand We Are Tea has won its first supermarket listing.

Tesco is stocking five of its premium whole-leaf tea bag variants - Earl Grey Supreme, Ceylon Vanilla, Moroccan Mint, Super Berry and Serenitea (rsp: £3.99/15 tea bags) - in 120 stores from this month. We Are Tea said the listing would help it make “great-tasting, high-quality teas” accessible to all.

We Are Tea products, which are ethically sourced and hand-packed in the UK, are also listed in Harrods and Whole Foods Market. l Welsh cake producer Just Love Food Company is more than trebling its presence in Tesco to 140 lines, just two years after its first products hit the retailer’s shelves.
