Hexbug's V2 Nano bugs can now climb

Hexbug Nano V2 playsets include the Infinity Loop

The skittering little Hexbug creatures from Innovation First can now climb.

Rolling out to retailers including Tesco and Asda from next month, the electronic Hexbug Nano V2 is an evolution of the 2010 range featuring bugs with rubber spines on their back that help them climb up clear tubular tracks.

The range includes single packs containing a V2 bug from an assortment of six colours and patterns, a straight tube and a connector to join tubes and attach them to playsets. Among the playsets coming to market are the Helix 180° that includes a spiral tube and two bases that can be customised with pegs and rotating flags to direct the bugs plus the double-looped Infinity Loop.
