Veg juice (WB&CO)

Fructose intolerant Mark Walker spotted a gap in the market for a range of chilled pure vegetable juices and, having adapted traditional olive oil-making methods to create a process for extracting juice from beetroot, spinach, celery and carrot, he came up with WB&CO.

The range uses UK-grown raw organic vegetables and can be found in Selfridges, Daylesford Organic, farm shops and independents. The flavours include Carrot & Ginger; Spinach, Carrot & Parsley; and Beetroot, Carrot & Celery.


Made With Joy (Lassi)

Launched: November 2010
Sid Singh quit his job in the City to set up Made With Joy and bring the Indian yoghurt-based drink to the mainstream. Launched in three flavours Mango, Cardamom & Rose and Strawberry & Holy Basil with an rsp of £1.89, Made With Joy is sold in London and the South East and Singh plans a national rollout in a year's time.


Rubicon Mango Light (AG Barr)
Launched: March 2011
Rubicon claims this is the UK's first reduced-calorie mango juice, with a third of the sugar of the standard drink. "We are convinced we have managed to deliver the full, sweet Rubicon Mango taste in a lighter version," says Adrian Troy, head of marketing at owner AG Barr. Retailing at £1.49 for a litre, Mango Light is available nationwide.


Pomegranate & Rose Cordial (Five Valleys)
Launched: March 2011
Cordials Five Valleys Cordials , founded by former Bottlegreen man Chris Verinder-Baker, launched three new flavours Pomegranate & Rose, Lemon & Mint and Apricot & Ginger into Waitrose this month. Free from preservatives, artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners, they retail at £3.19.
