What was your first-ever job? Sales assistant at Boots. It was an awful bus journey to work and long hours but the staff discount was the Brucey Bonus!

What was your worst job interview? Product manager for fruit products. As a vegan you can imagine my disgust when they started talking about expansion to meat and fish pastes. My facial expressions ended it there and then.

What was the first music single you bought? Michael Jackson Bad. Still have it on my iPod and know all the moves to the video, too!

How do you describe your job to your mates? Most of the time it doesn't actually feel like work as I am doing something I truly love, namely working in a fun and relaxed environment with ethics and morals firmly in place.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Watching consumers picking up our products in-store. It's such a sense of satisfaction and I never tire of seeing it. It's even better to know they are making healthy choices.

What is the least rewarding part? Watching unhealthy products being awarded space on shelf in most of the supermarkets.

What is your motto in life? Cruelty Free. It's a short motto but totally to the point. I have it tattooed on my right arm. As a vegan I make sure all my choices are made with animals at heart.

What's your nickname? Road Runner. I never stop running around the office and outside work I am a cross-country runner for Merseyside.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? Easy. My weakness is cars so I'd have a Pagani Zonda Roadster F in black. Non-leather option, obviously.

What's your favourite movie? The Lord of The Rings trilogy. It offers escapism, trees that talk, immaculate scenery and unrivalled poetic writing from Tolkien.

Do you have any phobias? Bare feet. It's always a socks-on policy for anyone near me.

Which celebrity would you pick to join your staff? The comedian Craig Campbell. He is the funniest crazy man on the planet and could bring endless humour to the table.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? I would like it to be more supportive of ethical, free-from and greener products. It has got better but there is a long way to go.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? My Bengal leopard cat Yoshi. Totally mad but he provides never-ending entertainment.
