What was your first-ever job? I worked as a rhino tracker in Namibia on an anti-poaching patrol.

What was your worst job interview? I thoroughly dislike job interviews, so founding Ashbury was a great way to get the job I wanted without having to get through one.

What was the first music single you bought? Give It Up by KC & The Sunshine Band.

How do you describe your job to your mates? I help guide the food industry towards clear, honest labelling.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Changing a ‘can’t do’ attitude into a ‘can do’ one.

What is the least rewarding part? Any administrative function.

What is your motto in life? ‘Let’s explore’. There is more to life than just doing the same things over and over.

What’s your nickname? The Postman.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? A season ticket to all the major UK sporting events, including a pass to the Olympics.

What’s your favourite movie and why? Anchorman - I’m a big fan of comedies, especially those with Will Ferrell or Steve Carell.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? I was in a changing room that had high windows out onto the street. At the moment of undress, a double decker bus jammed full of tourists passed taking snaps of the London sights - including me!

Do you have any phobias? Heights - I love mountaineering but only as long as I have my feet on solid ground.

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? David Walliams. He has a real commitment to achieve the extraordinary and always has a smile.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? It should be compulsory for consumers to visit a food factory at least once to educate ourselves on how food is sourced, processed, packaged and delivered.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? Single malt whiskey, Cuban cigars and a pile of jazz, soul, and rhythm and blues CDs.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? An elephant - for its focus on community and the collective strength of the herd.
