James Russell appointed wholesale distribution MD at AF Blakemore

James Russell has been named as managing director of AF Blakemore’s wholesale distribution division.

Russell joins from Rowan International, where he was MD for three years. He has also worked for Britvic and Gallaher. Reporting to group wholesale MD Sam Wilcox, Russell will be responsible for the company’s wholesale distribution service and new export operation.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to come on board and play a role in leading the delivery of the next phase of growth for the business,” he said. “We will look to do this by building our existing business, while expanding our customer footprint, both in the UK and abroad.”
