Tesco has bolstered its wine technical team with the appointment of Tony Miles as technical manager.
Miles, who joined Tesco in 2011 and is currently technical and development manager within the group food team, will take responsibility for France, Spain, Portugal, North and South America, and New Zealand. His role will focus on the quality of wine from these regions.
Category technical manager Andrew Gale said Miles’ knowledge and experience of markets, which includes those in Central Europe, would prove “immensely helpful” as the UK team develops the group wine business.
His appointment brings the BWS technical team to five.
