"I am somewhat surprised that the DH’s Responsibility Deal steering group has highlighted cake as an area where suppliers are struggling to meet the 2012 targets. Kudos Blends are working with some of the worlds largest bakery manufacturers, many of which have already successfully launched low sodium products into the current market. Given the highly functional range of low sodium baking powders we have available there is no real excuse for manufacturers to not make significant reductions in salt content of their end products without compromising on quality and taste."
